Christkindlmarkt and “A Cherry Pie Christmas” Film
In March-April 2025, the Christkindlmarkt location at Corner of the Past Museum was one of the key sites during filming of a new original movie. Produced by a team that has created several popular Christmas movies in recent years, “A Cherry Pie Christmas,” was released by streaming platform Great American Media on October 9, 2025 and premiered in Door County at the Door Community Auditorium on December 13 of the same year. The film can be viewed on a wide range of streaming platforms, including Great American Family, TubiTV, RokuTV, PlutoTV, Vizio, XumoTV and YouTube.
For the second year in a row, you can also celebrate the new holiday season on The Door County Christmas Movie Trail! “A Cherry Pie Christmas” was shot and set entirely in Door County, and the popular movie trail highlights real locations featured in the movie—inviting fans to explore the charming shops, cozy inns and scenic backdrops that brought the story to life on the silver screen.
