Corner of the Past’s Anderson House (the beautiful 1875 home on the corner of the property) is your home for all things Christkindlmarkt! You’ll find our Bake Shoppe full of homemade goodies, a selection of new and gently used Christmas ornaments, vintage-style stocking stuffers for all ages, and sometimes…Santa & Mrs. Claus!

Our Anderson House kitchen, The Bake Shoppe, is the place to pick up some delicious holiday goodies. Every weekend our amazing Sister Bay Historical Society volunteer elves create an array of homemade cookies and baked goods to choose from, in addition to the adorable sugar cookies and gingerbread hearts created by Julie Schmidt of Sweet and Simple Cookies. Be sure to grab a bag or two of our exclusive chocolate-covered caramel “Alpaca Poop”! Enjoy a complimentary cup of Door County Coffee’s special “Door County Christmas” blend while you shop, and consider leaving a donation to Door County Secret Santa!

What would a Christkindlmarkt be without ornaments? We’ve got plenty for you to choose from in the Anderson House. Our exclusive 2025 “Cherry Christmas!” campfire mug ornament is in honor of our new “Cherry Pie Shop.” Limited supplies are available in both the Anderson House and at the Cherry Pie Shop.  You’ll also find an amazing selection of handmade “ugly Christmas sweater” ornaments, as well as Door County inspired ornaments from felted goats and sailboats, to blown-glass birds and more. As always, we’ll also have a selection of gently used holiday items for sale at discount prices.

You’ll also find a large selection of vintage-style stocking stuffers at the Anderson House – the perfect low-tech “throwback” gift for anyone on your shopping list. Many are “made in the USA,” and all are priced at $20 or less. From yo-yos to paper dolls to harmonicas to log building sets, there’s something for every child…or child-at-heart!
